Jack Royce Ogden, Sr., age 85, left his earthly life on December 26, 2019 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. His life began on November 1, 1934 in Sanders, Ky being born to Thomas Dewey and Blanche Mae (Bradley) Ogden. Jack was an active member of Sanders Baptist Church where he served as deacon and song leader. For many years Jack served his community on the Sanders City Council and as Mayor for four years. He was a member of the Carroll County Board of Education from January 1981 until December 1992, serving three years as Chairman. Jack also was active in Carroll County Little League Baseball and Basketball and was the former owner and manager of Sanders Market until January 2019. He was a carpenter with Local 698 in Cincinnati, OH where he was involved in bridge and road building and retired in 2010 from Ogden’s Concrete Construction.
His leaves behind, three sons; Jack R. (Mary) Ogden, Jr., Paul Wayne (Lori) Ogden and Fred T. (Cindy) Ogden all of Sanders, KY, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Debra Bartram (1996), a sister; Linda Riley and a brother; Thomas Dewey Ogden, Jr.
