Irene Joy Jones Snow, 86, of Ghent, KY, died on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.
She was born on April 12, 1929 in Gallatin County, KY, the daughter of the late Howard C. Jones and Mable Martha Dean Jones. She was a homemaker and a retired Custodian for Carroll County Vocational School. She was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Joy Snow, Patsy Diane (Willie)Snow Kidd and Bonnie Faye (Mike) Snow Williams, all of Ghent, KY, two sons, Melvin Randall Snow of Ghent, KY, and William Allen(Rita) Snow of Carrollton, KY, five grandchildren, Dennis Snow of Warsaw, KY, Angela Kid of Ghent, KY, Heather Groves of Ghent, KY, Dustin Cheatum of Ghent, KY, and Chelsea Mazza of Carrollton, KY, and seven great grandchildren, Courtney Hearn, Dylan Groves, Landon Lee Groves, Brayson Groves, Emma Cheatum, Caylee Kidd and Jayce Brightwell also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin Lee Snow on March 17, 2007, three sisters, Margaret Smoots, Ruby Christine Snow and Wilma Jones Smith, three brothers, Harvey Paul Jones, Ralph Thomas Jones and Howard G. Jones, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Willie Kidd, Dustin Cheatum, Mike Williams, Dylan Groves, Luke Groves and Dennis Snow.
Visitation
Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
Funeral
Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating the service.
