Ida Roeder

October 3, 1924 — January 10, 2005

Ida F. Roeder, 80, of Carrollton, KY., died on Monday evening at the Green Valley Health and Rehab Center in Carrollton,KY. Ida was born in Bagdad, Ky to Durbin and Grace Vaughn Green, who preceded her in death.

Ida garduated from the Appalachian Regional Vocational School in Hazard, Ky in 1977 where she was valedictorian of her class of Licensed Practical Nursing students and worked as an L.P.N. at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by four sons, Albert Roeder of Tuscon, Az., Phillip Roeder of Taylor, Tx., Michael Roeder of Carrollton, Ky., and Patrick Roeder of Austin, Tx. Also surviving are three sisters, Louise Elizabeth Hagerman of Louisville, Ky., Berry Bedford Wilhite of Louisville, Ky., and Mary Jane Forsythe of Columbia, Tn., eight grandchildren, Crystal Barker of Tuscon, Az., Steven Roeder of San Antonio, Tx., Austin Kingsberry of Round Rock, Tx., Laura Roeder of Austin, Tx., Tracy Roeder of Abilene, Tx., Keri Roeder of Carrollton, Ky., Stephanie Papineau of Madison, In., and Jennifer Rainwater of Fort Worth, Tx., and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ida is preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. "Bud" Roeder, her step-father, Bill Palmer, two brothers, Robert Durbin Green and Claude Vaughn Green, one sister, Sara Frances Shepherd and one grandchild, Eric Roeder.

The Rev. Shannon Boaz will officiate the service.

Arrangements are being handled by the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
