Gertrude Garrett

Gertrude Garrett, 79, of Madison, IN., formerly of Carrollton, KY., died on Wednesday morning, February 14, 2007 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Center in Madison, IN.
She was born on August 1, 1927 in Glencoe, Gallatin County, KY., the daughter of the late Jess and Lola Mae (JUMP) McCormick. Gertrude was retired from Ison Brothers Furniture Factory in Carrollton, KY.
Survivors include a daughter; Mary Jean Newby of Jackson, TN., a son; Sherman Junior Sorrell of Glencoe, KY., Eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Willie Garrett, three sisters and four brothers and one grandchild; Cassondra Lane Sorrell.
Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris White officiating the service. Burial was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent, KY.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
