Ethel Lee McClure, 86, of the Margaritaville Community of Daytona Beach, Florida, formerly of Carrollton, KY, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
She was born on December 15, 1932, the daughter of the late James William Hack and Effie Lee (Turner) Hack. She was a nurse for more than 35 years, with her entire professional career devoted to the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Upon her retirement from the CCMH she became a snowbird, spending the winter in Florida, but returning each year to the home she loved most in Carrollton. In 2018, she made Florida her full time home, and became one of the first residents to move in to the Jimmy Buffett-themed Latitude Margaritaville active-adult community near Daytona Beach. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
She is survived by five living children, Sharon Robbins of Ormond Beach, FL, Paul (Sue) Hill of Pleasureville, KY, Rhonda Harvey of Daytona Beach, FL, Angela McClure (Joe Haydon) of Ormond Beach, FL, and Natalee McClure of Muskogee, OK, eleven grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great –great grandchild survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nathan McClure on October 18, 2006, two children, Linda Ebrecht and Nathan James McClure, four sisters, Concie Hack, Mary Perry, Mittie Lake, and Betty Gibson, a brother, Paul Hack.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
