Emma Brindley

Emma Lou Brindley, 88, of Carrollton, KY., died on Saturday morning, February 3, 2007 at the Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

She was born on April 30, 1918 in Carroll County, KY., the daughter of the late Roy G. and Elvessa (McKendria) Adams.

Emma was retired from the Carroll County Memorial Hospital as a Nurses Aid. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

Survivors include one daughter; Mary Lou Stewart of Carrollton, KY., two half sisters; Virginia Ann "Jenny" Adams of Cincinnati, OH., Martha Lucille Stephenson of Elizabethtown, IN., two half brothers; Richard Roy Adams of Florence, IN., and Frank D. Adams of Georgetown, IN., her adopted sister; Emma Jean Pate of Carrollton, KY., four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mom; Mabel Adams, her husband; Edward L. Brindley, her son; William L. Courtney, one brother; Charles Noble Adams, two half brothers; Robert E. and Arthur Adams.

The Rev. Chris White will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home chapel.

In Lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to the Carroll County Relay for Life. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
