Mr. Phillips of Carrollton, KY was born in Rockcastle County, KY to Joshua and Susie Rachel McCollum Phillips. He was a self-employed truck driver, owning and operating Phillips Trucking. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed hunting, doing general construction, mechanic and welding work.Survivors include his companion: Cindy M. Overmyer of Carrollton, KY, daughters: Cynthia "Cindy" A. Phillips of Louisville, KY, Elizabeth Susan Phillips of Carrollton, KY and Kimberley Alinez of Texas, son: Jefferson LeRoy "Cornbread" Phillips of Worthville, KY, sisters: Alma Hartung of Headland, AL and Brenda Guardiola of Ft. Worth, TX, brothers: Elvin Phillips of Owenton, KY, Clay Phillips of Sanders, KY and Dee Phillips of Oklahoma, 2 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, twin infant brothers and an infant sister - Wanda Phillips.
