Edward Hugh Singer, born on Monday, May 7, 1962, in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky. His sudden departure has deeply saddened all who knew and loved him.
Edward devoted the last 11 years of his career to the Toyota Manufacturing Georgetown Assembly Plant, where he worked diligently in the Paint department. Prior to that, he applied his skills as a forklift operator for Omega Plastics in Shelbyville, Kentucky. His work ethic was reflected not only in his professional life but also in his personal commitments.
For 18 years, Edward was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lula Joyce Sanders Singer of Frankfort, Kentucky. Throughout their marriage, he was known for his considerate nature, always ensuring to open doors for his wife, a testament to his enduring respect and care. Edward's love extended to his family, with whom he cherished spending his time. He found joy in outdoor work, visiting parks, solving crossword puzzles, and singing—activities that highlighted his vibrant and engaged spirit.
Edward is survived by his wife Lula Joyce Sanders Singer; his father, Lloyd Singer of Hinesville, Georgia; his daughters, Latisha Singer of Louisville, Kentucky, Jenna Faye Glisson of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Michelle Dawn (Terry) Logan of Radcliff, Kentucky; his sons, James Michael (Haley) Clemons of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Aaron Ray Simmons of Sparta, Kentucky; his sister, Sandra Hanson of Hinesville, Georgia; as well as seven cherished grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eugenia Birtch Singer, and his first wife, Lisa Singer, who passed away in 2006. He was also preceded in death by one grandchild.
A visitation to honor Edward’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow this at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Eminence Cemetery in Eminence, Kentucky.

Edward Hugh Singer’s life was one marked by dedication, love, and kindness. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
