Dwight Hawkins

July 5, 1946 — December 12, 2006

Dwight Hawkins of Carrollton, KY., died on Tuesday evening, December 12, 2006 at the St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN. He was born to the late Guthrie Lee and Anna Mae Higgenbotham Hawkins in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY.

Dwight was retired as a DCS Technician with Dow Corning Corporation Carrollton Plant, a member of First Baptist Church and the N.R.A. Dwight also served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard during Vietnam Era having been called to active duty.

Dwight leaves behind his wife, Peggy Hawkins, two daughters, Gwena (Darren) Moore of Florence, KY and Nichole (Michael) "Nicki" Johnson of Carrollton, KY and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Angela Michelle Hawkins in 1967.

The Rev. Chris White officiated the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. The Jefferson Post #9 of the American Legion in Madison, IN. conducted Military Honors at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorial gifts were given to the American Leukemia/Lymphoma Society in care of the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was in entrusted with the arrangements.
