Dorothy P. Aldridge Burton, 89, of Carrollton, KY., died on Saturday morning April 25, 2009 at the Green Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton. She was born on October 29, 1919 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY., the daughter of the late Albert D. and Sarah Belle Payne Proctor. She was a retired Clerk from Lerman Brothers and People's, she also farmed and was a former employee of Carrollton Office Supply. She was a member of Whites Run Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter; Norma Jean Sayre of Port St. Lucie, FL., a grandson who care for her; Dwayne Jamerson of Milton, KY., two sisters; Louise Taylor and Edith Wells of Indianapolis, IN., six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's; Clarence Aldridge and Buster Burton, three sisters; Valletta Roberts, Marguerite Abbott and Sarah Virginia Adcock, two brothers; William Earl Proctor and Albert Proctor, Jr. The Rev. Stan Reedy officiateD funeral services on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, KY. Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
