Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Dunn, a beloved family woman, passed away on Sunday,  May 3, 2026, in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. Born on Monday, June 11, 1956, in Sewickley, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Cindy lived a life filled with dedication, joy, and a commitment to those around her.

A 1974 graduate of Seneca High School in Louisville, Kentucky, Cindy embarked on a meaningful banking career that began at Kentucky State Bank, where she served for 16 years. She then continued her professional journey at United Citizens Bank in Carrollton, where she contributed her talents and service for 29 years until her retirement as a loan processor. Cindy's work was marked by steadfast dedication and professionalism.

Beyond her career, Cindy’s passions were wide and vibrant. She loved playing with her Bunco Group, relishing the camaraderie and travel adventures, including pontoon boat trips. She delighted in time spent with her grandchildren, enjoyed shopping, and decorating her home. Cindy also cherished visits to wineries and was an enthusiastic participant in tailgating festivities at the University of Kentucky football games. The beach held a special place in her heart, providing moments of peace and joy.

Her involvement in community life extended further through her participation in local plays, with a particular fondness for "Steel Magnolias." Cindy was deeply committed to the Carroll County High School Band Boosters, where she devoted many years supporting her sons’ musical endeavors and attending numerous band trips, leaving a lasting impact on the community’s youth and families.

Cindy leaves behind a loving family who will deeply miss her: her devoted husband of nearly 49 years, Danny Dunn of Carrollton, Kentucky; two sons, Adam Dunn and his fiancée Timothy Tran of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eric Dunn and his wife Wendy, also of Cincinnati; and three treasured grandchildren, Katie Gross, Jackson Dunn, and Carter Dunn. She is survived by her brother, Gary A. Schlicher of Paris, Kentucky, and will be fondly remembered by her dear close friend, Nina Marshall of Carrollton.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard D. and Carrie Griffith Schlicher; a brother, Steven G. Schlicher; and a grandchild.
