Clifford Roberts, Sr. Passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 84 in Sparta, Kentucky. Born on October 4, 1941, in Mistletoe, Kentucky, Clifford was a man of great character and dedication to his family and faith.
In his lifetime, Clifford made many important contributions to the lives of those around him. He was a proud member of Oakland Baptist Church, where he found deep connection and fellowship within his community. His love for music, particularly the songs of Johnny Cash, was one of his great passions. He often enjoyed sharing this love with family and friends while playing his guitar.
Clifford cherished the moments spent dining out and watching television. His greatest joys came from the time he dedicated to his family. He was especially fond of his grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his life.
Clifford leaves behind his daughter, Penny Roberts of Sparta, Kentucky; his sons, Clifford (Brenda) Roberts, Jr. of Tennessee, and Joshua Jay (Amanda) Roberts of Crittenden, Kentucky; and his brother, Orville (Debbie) Roberts of Clayton, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Savannah, Chelsea, Jesse, Jacob, Gracie, Bentley, Michael, and Cody, along with his great-grandchildren: Hendrix and Kayden.
He was predeceased by his father, Ruthord Roberts; mother, Maggie Couch Roberts; his wife, Judy Roberts; sister, Audrey Rose; sister, Nellie Jean Roberts; and brother, Eugene Roberts.
Clifford’s life will be honored with a graveside service on November 6, 2025, at Richwood Cemetery located at 1070 Richwood Road in Walton, Kentucky. Services will begin at 1:00 PM.
Clifford Roberts, Sr. will be remembered for his warmth, his musical spirit, and the love he generously shared with all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and all who loved him.
