Clay Johnson

November 21, 1962 — December 7, 2005

Clay K. Johnson of Decatur, Georgia, was the son of Berry and Billie Johnson of Dunwoody, GA., formerly of Sanders and Carrollton, KY.,

He worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA., as an administrative assistant in the National Center for Enviromental Mental Health. Clay was a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton, OH., and a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church in Dunwoody, GA.

Survivors also include his wife; Kelly M.(Schauerte) Johnson, a sister; Sarah Garland of Decatur, GA., brothers; Lee Johnson of Tavares, FL., Scott Johnson of Loveland, OH., and Reed Johnson of Dawsonville, GA., he is also survived by his mother and father in-law; Gail and J. Richard Schauerte of Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents; Otto and Josephine Johnson and Maternal Grandparents; William G. and Lillian Reed.

Memorial Gifts are suggested to the Spina Bifida Foundation of Georgia, 1488 McLendon Dr., Decatur, GA 30033.

Pallbearers will be Lee Johnson, Scott Johnson, Reed Johnson, Benjamin Garland, Mike Gordon and Reece Little. Richard Schauerte will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The Rev. Chris White will conduct the funeral service on Monday at the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
