Charles Willhoite

Charles "Charlie" Willhoite, 75, of Carrollton, KY, died on Monday, December 28, 2015 at his home in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on January 8, 1940 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Fred Willhoite and Josephine Cole Willhoite. He owned and operated Willhoites Garage as a automotive mechanic in Carrollton for many years until his health declined recently.

He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by a son, Mike (Jennifer) Willhoite of Carrollton, KY, a daughter, Charla Walls of Carrollton, KY, two brothers, David Earl Willhoite and Freddy Willhoite, both of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Mary Jo Corley of Carrollton, KY, and five grandchildren, Jace Walls, Braxton Walls, Coy Willhoite, Quinn Willhoite and Kynley Froman, all of Carrollton, KY.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jackie Lee Willhoite on April 1, 2002.

Military Honors will be presented at the graveside by the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Pentecostals of Carrollton Building Fund or the Carroll County High School Baseball Team in care of the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Willhoite, David Earl Willhoite, Jace Walls, Braxton Walls, Melvin Stewart and Alec "Mohawk" Young, along with several honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
