Charles Roberts

Charles Edward Roberts, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY.  Charles was born on December 30, 1932, in Wheatley, Owen County, KY to Bryant and Gladys Hawkins Roberts.  He retired from the Jefferson Proving Grounds in Madison, IN, where he worked as an electrician, was a mechanic and served as a courier for Farmers Bank of Milton.  Charles faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Carrollton Lodge #134, F. & A.M.  He was a fix-it man and loved yard sales and flea markets.

Left to mourn his passing is a son; Charles Lee “Chuck” (Debbie) Roberts of Carrollton, KY, three grandchildren; Matthew Roberts, Christopher Roberts and Michaela Roberts all of Carrollton, KY, a half-sister; Sherry Breaden of Lexington, KY.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley Jean Roberts.
