Charles Osborne

Charles William Osborne, 81, of the English Community, near Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Baptist Health La Grange in La Grange, KY.

He was born on July 4, 1934 in Gallatin County, KY, the son the late Brack Osborne and Linda Riley Osborne. He was retired as a Car Dealer from Osborne's Used Cars in English. He had also owned Osborne's Grocery Store and Furniture Store and he enjoyed Farming. He was an excellent Outboard Boat Motor Mechanic. He was a member of the English Baptist Church and had been attending Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Perry Park, KY.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Frances Louden Osborne, to whom he married on June 27, 1953, two sons, Rev. Charles Timothy "Tim" (Stephanie) Osborne and Mark Anthony (Karen) Osborne, both of Carrollton, KY, four grandchildren, Chase, Cody, Baily and Emily Osborne, all of Carrollton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Nellie Hearn, Stella Chadwell and Isabelle Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Visitation

Visitation will be on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the English Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.

Funeral

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with his son, the Rev. Charles Timothy "Tim" Osborne officiating the service.

Interment

Burial will be in the English Cemetery in Carrollton, KY. Military Honors will be presented at the graveside by the Carrollton American Legion Post #41.
