Charles Roger Earle, age 87, of Carrollton, KY died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY.  He was born on November 4, 1929 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY to the late Clarence Walton and Alma Mae Breeden Earls.  Roger was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and the American Legion Post #41.  He was a retired construction superintendent for Craig Construction Co. and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict during which he was a bronze star recipient.

Survivors include: his children, Mary Ann (Duper) Craig of Carrollton, KY and John Paul (Wanda) Licklider of Carrollton, KY; a sister, Sandra Horine of Carrollton, KY, and a brother, Riley Earle of Carrollton, KY; five grandchildren, Kathy Craig (David) Mefford, Kevin Craig, Jonathan Licklider, Karen Craig (Paul) Ogle and Jeanne Licklider-Brindley;  ten great grandchildren, Lauren (Mike) Sauls, Jordan (Bethany) Mefford, Olivia Brindley, Caitlin Mefford, Ashton Ogle, Evan Mefford, Case Craig, Trey Ogle, Jonathan Paul-Roger Licklider and Layne Ogle;  four great great grandchildren, Brandon Sauls, Parker Sauls, Campbell Sauls and Maris Mefford, several nieces and nephews;  and his beloved dog, Lucy Lou.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Della Mefford Earle; five sisters, Christine Earls, Mary Smith, Martha Hunter, Edna Kring and Estelle Walls; and four brothers, Sam Earle, Freddie Earls, Walton Earls and Raymond Earle.
