Blaine Day, a beloved member of the Locust Road community, passed away on November 21, 2025, at his residence in Milton, Kentucky. Born on February 24, 1959, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, Blaine had been employed with Carrollton Utilities in the Maintenance Department from which he retired from.
Blaine was a man deeply rooted in his community. He found great joy in being an active participant in the Locust Road Community, where he built lasting friendships and memories. His love for the outdoors was evident, especially in his passion for hunting which brought him many cherished experiences. Additionally, he was proud to have been a former member of the Sons of the American Legion.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Kim Botkins of Ghent, Kentucky, and his brothers, Jonathan Day of Hanover, Indiana, and Mark Day of Milton, Kentucky. Blaine was a cherished grandfather to Abbigail Botkins and Anthony Botkins, and he took immense pride in being a great-grandfather to Aaliyah Patrick, Grayson Botkins, and Kingston Botkins.
Blaine is preceded in death by his parents, John Alfred Day and Mauda Kathryn Danner Day, as well as his brothers, Gregory Steven Day and Wes Day. His memory will be lovingly preserved by his family and friends who will remember him for his contributions to their lives and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hopewell Community Church, located on Locust Road in Milton, KY, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 5:00 P.M. Family and Friends may gather for a Memorial Visitation from 4:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Hopewell Community Church. Cremation has been chosen by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
