Barbara Gayle Yeary

Barbara Gayle Moore Yeary passed away on September 14, 2026, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. She was born on May 2, 1957, in Carroll County, Kentucky, and her life remained deeply rooted in the community and family ties of her Kentucky home.

She had retired from the Port William Motel in Carrollton and also had worked for many years in the food service industry having worked for the former Churchill Manor Restaurant in Carrollton, General Butler State Park and Resort and Cracker Barrell in La Grange. Barbara had also worked at the M & T Chemical Factory in Carrollton.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Wilhelmina Joyce Carter Moore , son Darren Poe of Carrollton, Kentucky, She also leaves her brother, Bert Moore, Sr., and his wife, Jennie Moore, of Carrollton, Kentucky, as well as her sister, Rita Young of Carrollton, Kentucky. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Elisha Harper, Waylon Woosley, and Hudson Woosley, whose lives continue as part of her lasting legacy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Moore, Jr.; her husband, Lonnie Yeary; and her sons, Kevin Poe, Tracy Poe, and Trevor Poe. Their memories remained an enduring part of her life, and they are now reunited with her in rest.

Barbara’s passing brings sorrow to those who loved her, but also gratitude for the bond of family that surrounded her throughout her years. May her memory be carried forward with tenderness by her children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends, and may all who mourn her find comfort in the love she leaves behind.

All Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
