Barbara Ann Dunn

Barbara Ann Dunn, Carrollton, KY, was born on December 15, 1944, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Louisville. She was a dedicated and industrious woman who made significant contributions to her community and her family throughout her life.

A proud native of Kentucky, Barbara spent her career impacting the lives of others through her various roles in the workforce. She retired from Dow Corning Chemical in Carrollton,  as an Administrative Office Assistant. Prior to this position, she demonstrated her skills in the corporate world while working at M & T Chemical Company, and she held other career roles, including being a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant and managing Prestige Cosmetics at the V.F. Mall in Carrollton. Barbara was also the former manager of Manpower Services and served as the manager of the jewelry department at Wal-Mart in Carrollton when the store first opened.

Barbara was a cherished member of her community, actively participating in the Red Hat Society and a member of the English Christian Church. 

She leaves behind her beloved husband, William Brock “Bill” Dunn, whom she married on June 6, 1964. Together, they nurtured their family, which includes their son, Todd (Crystel) Dunn of Carrollton, KY, and a sister, Brenda (Bill) Stewart of Worthville, KY.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Eugene "Gene" Wright and Mary Willoughby Wright, a sister, Jean McAlister, and an infant brother, Dennis Wayne Wright.

 Visitation will take place at the English Christian Church in Carrollton on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will take place in the English Cemetery in Carrollton. 

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to be given to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home
