Alene Gordy Turner

  Alene Gordy Turner, 79, of Worthville, KY, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.

  She was born on March 18, 1944, in Owenton, Owen County, KY, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Gordy and Lillian Marie Purnell.  Alene had formerly worked for Burger King as a customer service associate and food preparer.  She had served on the Worthville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

  Alene will be missed by her daughter; Tammy L. (Keith) Couch of Worthville, KY, a granddaughter; Athena Marie Fields, three great grandchildren;  Katelynn Brianne Fields, Lauren Bailey Fields and Benjamin Bryan Fields, a brother; Robert Lee Gordy of North Carolina, and a close niece to her; Angelique Parker of Milton, KY.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; George Henry Turner, a daughter; April Turner, two sisters; Hazel Wigglesworth and Wanda Jean Arnold, three brothers; Ralph, Melvin and Everett Gordy.

  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
