Sharon Hunt

Sharon Jane Wallace Hunt, 70, of Carrollton, KY, died on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Warsaw, KY.

She was born on June 16, 1948 in Covington, Kenton County, KY, the daughter of the late Norbert “Grubby” Grobmeier and Marjorie Duncan Grobmeier.  She was a 1966 graduate of Carroll County High School and went on  to graduate from the Bryant & Stratton College earning a Business degree.  She had worked for the former Arvin Meritor Factory in Carrollton for over 30 years as a accountant.  She was a faithful member of the Carrollton United Methodist Church where she had served in many roles over the years, serving as Church Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian, Nursery Coordinator and Cantata Coordinator.  She had also participated in the Ruth Circle at the church.

She will be missed by her two daughters, Rachel (Josh) Heacock of Citronelle, AL, and Sara (Josh) Clifton of Carrollton, KY, three sisters, Charlotte Dunavent of Warsaw, KY, Diane Hornbeck of Paris, KY, and Ann McIntosh of Warsaw, KY, two brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” Grobmeier of Louisville, KY, and David Grobmeier of Livermore, CA, two grandchildren, Cheyenne and Logan Clifton both of Carrollton, KY.  She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary R. Hunt on May 4, 1998, her father, Norbert “Grubby” Grobmeier on September 28, 2000 and her mother Marjorie Duncan Grobmeier on December 18, 2001.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expense.
