Brenda Sue Chatham, 63, of Carrollton, KY, formerly of Springfield, IL, died on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.

She was born on May 31, 1953 in Springfield, Sangamon County, IL, the daughter of the late Charles Leslie Nevill and Barbara Jean (Weller) Nevill. She was a graduate of Tri-City High School in Buffalo, IL. When she lived in Illinois she had worked for the State of Illinois in the Environmental Department as a Clerical Clerk. After moving to Carrollton over thirteen years ago she was employed by Wal-Mart in Carrollton, but over the last few years had stayed home as a homemaker, where she enjoyed making crafts. She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her husband Paul. She enjoyed watching many different types of sports. She loved her step-grandchildren dearly and loved spending time with them.

She will be missed by her husband Paul Chatham of Carrollton, KY, to whom she was able to spend thirteen years with. She is also survived by two sons, Patrick and Scott Russell, both of Springfield, IL, two step-sons, Robert Waltz of Jeffersonville, IN, and David Chatham of Carrollton, KY, a step-daughter, April Chatham of Ghent, KY, a sister, Jan Reische of Springfield, IL, three brothers, Tom Nevill and Larry Nevill, both of Springfield, IL, and Chuck Nevill of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and four step-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judi Dalby.

No services are planned at this time, Cremation has been chosen by the family.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
