Arthur Thomas Adams, 94, of Carrollton, KY, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his residence in Carrollton.

He was born on July 3, 1923 in Sanders, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Leonard Adams and Frances E. Smith Adams. He had served his Country in the United States Army as a Medical Technician during World War II.  He had received a World War II. Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Service Star, a Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with four Bronze Service Stars for his service during World War II.  He had owned Art’s Auto Center in Cincinnati, OH, for many years, but most of his early life he was a Heavy Equipment Operator.

He was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon.  He was a member of the Johnson Masonic Lodge #0641 F & A.M. in Cincinnati, OH.

He will be missed by his wife, Mary E. Turner Adams of Carrollton, KY, a daughter in-law, Kathy Adams of Cincinnati, OH,  three brothers, Lester Adams of Louisville, KY, Ed Adams of Clinton Township, MI, and Leonard Adams, Jr. of Louisville, KY, two sisters, Rosella Landon of Seattle, WA, and Martha Wilson of Carrollton, KY, a granddaughter, Jessica Noel Gierhart of Columbus, OH, and two great - grandchildren, Lily and Max Gierhart of Columbus, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Gregory Thomas Adams in 1978, two brothers, J.B. and James Adams, two sisters, Louise Mayer & Mary Morton.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
